Our Story

Greens Market was founded on February 25, 2011 by Ann Endsley. Ann’s vision was to create a place where people could gather to purchase local products, including organic produce from her farm, Four Seasons Farms.

She started the market, which included organic produce, prepared food, bakery, artisan cheeses, grass fed beef, heritage lamb and pork, organic poultry, organic dairy and eggs, specialty gourmet food and gift items, coffee drinks and grab and go items. The market quickly became a place to gather and visit as well as a source of healthy, wholesome food. Greens Market did not have a commercial kitchen and all of the prepared food, bakery items and grab and go products were made in a commercial building in downtown Modesto owed by the Endsley Family.

Word spread quickly that Green’s food was being made from that building and Ann opened that location as a downtown restaurant. It now is a meeting and event facility, full bar, restaurant and will soon include a large event venue and additional meeting space in the building that was recently acquired next door. Seeing that customers were looking for more of a restaurant format, Ann relocated the market to the location where the bakery had expanded and Greens Table was opened in 2013. Greens Table now serves customers 7 days a week and is the home of Greens Bakery and our artisan gelato production. In addition to our restaurants, Greens serves the community by providing full-service catering for corporations and individuals, weddings and galas. Green’s newest venture is Underground Kitchen which provides healthy, nutritious prepared food for people on the go.
